The Notarial Committee of the Scriveners Company and the Society of Scrivener Notaries are pleased to be hosting the annual Wilfrid Philips Notarial Lecture. The lecture will take place on Thursday 15th June 2017 at the City of London Club.

The principal guest speaker will be Tomasz Kotz, a distinguished civil law notary and European legal commentator from Krakow in Poland who will be supported by speakers from the United Kingdom. Topics to be discussed will include the implications of Brexit on jurisdiction, the recognition and enforcement of judgments, including enforceable notarial acts, the potential future role of the European Court of Justice and the implications for the freedom of establishment for companies in the EU and the UK.

The evening will finish with a panel discussion, a drinks reception and an opportunity for informal discussion.

The cost for attending the event, including drinks reception and VAT, is £75.
